Álvaro Ramos

Álvaro Ramos has served as Chief Executive Officer of Laureate Peru since May 2025. He oversees the operational excellence, sustainable growth, and development strategies of our three institutions in Peru: Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN), and Cibertec.

Álvaro joined Laureate Peru in early 2017, and has held the roles of COO and later CEO of UPN, Regional Transformation Officer, and President of the Board of Cibertec.

Before joining Laureate, Álvaro held senior marketing and leadership positions with global consumer goods companies, including Nestle, Whirlpool Corporation, SAB Miller, and Kraft Foods.

Álvaro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in North Carolina.
