Laureate Athletes

This summer in Paris, more than 10,500 athletes from around the globe competed at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Among that elite group were 12 passionate and talented Laureate students and graduates.

Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) provide scholarships, modern training facilities, mentoring programs, and flexible class schedules, empowering these students for success both in their studies and in their sports. Their dedication to excellence was proudly displayed on the world stage in Paris.

In the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, seven UVM students and graduates represented Mexico, while four UPC students represented Peru. Additionally, one UVM graduate served as a coach for Paralympic athletes. These outstanding individuals competed in a wide range of events, including air rifle, artistic swimming, artistic gymnastics, badminton, para archery, para swimming, platform diving, and rowing.
