UPC Student Obtains Scholarship to Study in South Korea

Fabiola Rodríguez La Torre, a student of the School of Professional Translation and Interpretation at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), was granted a scholarship by the South Korean government to study one year at Myongji University in Seoul.

Fabiola Torre, an honors student, was chosen after a rigorous selection process in which she had to write an essay explaining her interest in studying in South Korea.

“I was encouraged to apply to the scholarship by a Korean friend who I met in my first semester at the university. I saw an online post by UPC’s International Office and thought it was my opportunity. I am very excited and eager to give my best,”

said Torre, who has also participated in academic missions to Canada and China.

Through its students’ achievements, UPC reaffirms its solid commitment to providing high-quality education with a global vision in order to educate leading and innovative professionals who will transform the country and the world.
