Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas Alumna Wins Intel Peru Competition
Stephanie Frías, an alumna of the software engineering degree program at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), is one of the winners of the Intel® Perú Challenge and will represent Peru in the Latin America regional round of the competition. The competition seeks to motivate university students to develop new companies focused on science and technology.
Stephanie is one of seven winners in Latin America and earned the opportunity to travel to Younoodle Camp in Silicon Valley (California, US) with all expenses paid. She participated with her colleague Karen Da Cruz on Hobbieworks, a platform that provides recognition for people and organizations that compete in events and activities.
The seven finalists will receive a special recognition for creating the best business plans in the competition. They may also earn the opportunity to compete in the Intel® Global Challenge, organized by Intel and the University of California Berkeley, with a top prize of $100,000.
