Universidad Europea’s School of Architecture Receives NAAB Accreditation

The undergraduate and graduate degrees granted by the school of architecture, engineering and design from Universidad Europea have received accreditation from the prestigious National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), which is responsible for evaluating and recognizing architecture programs that meet the standards established in the United States and Canada.
This recognition makes Universidad Europea the first private university in Spain and the European Union to receive this important international seal of quality. The term of the accreditation is six years and can be renewed.
NAAB is the only agency authorized to accredit professional degrees in architecture at the undergraduate and graduate level in the United States and Canada. NAAB created opportunities for international institutions to submit to their accreditation process through a special program called Substantial Equivalencies. The accreditation is a great accomplishment for the university and will create new opportunities for students and alumni, who will now be able to sit for professional certification exams.
According to the director of Universidad Europea’s school of architecture, engineering and design, Miguel Gómez Navarro, “This has been a long and intense process that has involved the entire university community. Together they’ve shown the ability and quality of the programs through the outcomes of our students.”
