Universidad Europea’s Incubator HUB Emprende Opens its Third Session to Support Startups

Universidad Europea’s (UE) business incubator, HUB Emprende, has opened their third session to support Spanish entrepreneurs. The initiative is focused on supporting entrepreneurship among UE students and members of the community as well as promoting the values of entrepreneurship and the ideas it brings to the business world.

This new session is open to anyone interested in developing their business plans and ideas. Plans can be at any level of development, for profit or non-profit, and focused locally, nationally or internationally. To be considered, entrepreneurs can apply for a spot on the HUB Emprende website

Applications will be accepted through October 11, 2015. A jury composed of 20 leaders from Universidad Europea will select the best 20 projects who will be invited to a one day interview and presentation session. The top 10 projects will be selected for the program and will have the opportunity to work directly at HUB Emprende.

During the five month period at HUB Emprende, participants will receive guidance and specialized development opportunities that should lead to the creation of an action plan to launch their business.  Their time at HUB Emprende will culminate with the DemoDay, where participants will present their proposals to a group of entrepreneurs and potential investors.

Since its launch in December 2014, HUB Emprende has provided support to 20 projects. The winners of the first two DemoDays included Voze, a mobile application that allows users to access a professional translator 24/7 from anywhere in the world; and Garage Beacon, a device that allows users to open their garage using a smart phone.
