Universidad Andrés Bello Recognized Among Top 100 Universities in Latin America

Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) has been recognized among the top 100 universities in Latin America in the QS Latin America University Ranking, which is published by the British Quacquarelli Symonds group. In 2014, UNAB moved up to No. 86 overall, 11 spots higher than its 2013 ranking.

UNAB was recognized as the 14th best university in Chile, of the 31 top universities in the country that were taken into consideration. The 2014 ranking places UNAB between Universidad del Valparaíso (at No. 83) and Universidad Católica del Norte (at No. 87), both of which are CRUCH universities.

“Our university has taken a great leap forward this year, which demonstrates our consistent focus on the quality of the education programs we deliver as well as our strong focus on research”, commented Pedro Uribe, rector of Universidad Andrés Bello. “We believe this is a reflection on the work that is taking place throughout the university. I congratulate all the members of our team for this important achievement and their commitment to our students.”

This most recent ranking places UNAB among the top five private universities in Chile and confirms its place among the top institutions in the country. UNAB was specifically cited for receiving high scores in: academic reputation (12th in Chile), reputation among employers (9th best in the country), number of cited research papers (eighth nationally and 47th in Latin America) and placement on the internet (14th best in Chile).
