Universidad Andrés Bello Programs in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Journalism are Among the Top Ten in Chile
In Qué Pasa’s 15th annual ranking of university degree programs, five programs delivered by Universidad Andrés Bello were recognized among the top ten in Chile. “These results reflect the high degree of respect that employers have of students and graduates from our university as the results of our students and graduates show the effectiveness of the university education they received,” explained Universidad Andrés Bello’s rector, Dr. Pedro Uribe.
UNAB’s school of dentistry was recognized as the seventh best in the country, up four positions from 2013. The school of medicine was recognized as the sixth best medical program, up three positions from 2013. Nursing was recognized as the eighth best in the country and Journalism was ninth best. Psychology maintained its designation as Chile’s tenth best program.
The schools of medicine and nursing are among the most valued in the labor market among all private universities. “This year, the health sciences have earned a number of national recognitions. These programs have demonstrated that they are highly respected throughout the country and that our graduates are more than ready when they complete their programs to excel at their work. This gives us great pride and encourages us all to keep working to move forward,” added Dr. Uribe.
Research at the university was also recognized. While UNAB is only 26 years old, it was recognized as the top private research university in the country, placing 11th overall in the country, with a total of 986 publications between 2008 and 2012.
