UNAB ranks among the top three universities in Chile in SCImago Rankings
SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a prestigious international ranking that measures the level and quality of research done by universities and is published annually by the SCImago Group since 2009. In its 2017 edition, Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) was ranked third in Chile, only behind Universidad Católica and Universidad de Chile, and 28 in the overall ranking of institutions in Latin America. The ranking measures over 3,000 institutions around the world, including 25 Chilean institutions, based on three areas: research, innovation and social impact.
“We are a young university with a strong focus on research, this ranking is the reflection of our commitment to our researchers, the education of our students, and the generation of new knowledge for the development of the country and society as a whole. This inspires us to continue advancing in the path of quality and excellence, which has always been our motivation and the identity we have built as a non-traditional private university, “said José Rodríguez, UNAB rector.
