Think Education Student Wins Staron® Design Award
Stephanie Nguyen, a student at Think Education’s Billy Blue College of Design, won a 2014 Staron® Design Award. Her stylish and practical design took the prize in the concept category, where entrants must present a simple and unique idea, drawing or graphic of a design using Staron® Solid Surfaces by Samsung. Stephanie is currently studying for a Bachelor of Interior Design (Commercial) at Billy Blue College of Design – one of the Think Education colleges located in Sydney, Australia.
Billy Blue students have been gaining an increased profile through the Staron Awards over the past few years. In 2012, student Jaimie Klum won the concept category in her first year at Billy Blue, which is quite a feat considering that the competition is open to practicing designers as well as students. In 2013, Think students Penelope Kendall and Hatice Yavuz were both runners up in the Concept category.
The Staron® Design Award is open to all designers, architects, developers and students who have used Staron Solid Surfaces by Samsung in their project or design. Over the three categories of commercial, residential and concept, the award aims to provide exposure for outstanding applicants with cash prizes.
