For the fourth and fifth consecutive year, Universidad Tecnológica de México and Universidad del Valle de México, respectively, were recognized as socially responsible companies. This distinction is granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE).
This recognition proves that both UVM and UNITEC are institutionally committed to the welfare of their students, employees, suppliers, authorities and the community in general. The ESR label recognizes the actions taken by companies on corporate governance and ethics, quality of work life, community outreach and environmental protection. It also recognizes "the effort of each to be voluntarily and publicly committed to implementing socially responsible and continuous improvement as part of their culture and business strategy," as stated on Cemefi’s website.
The 2014 ESR statues will be delivered to UVM and UNITEC during the VII Latin American Meeting on Social Responsibility, to be held from April 7-10.
