As a leader in higher education, Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) is focused on finding new ways to bring current events and contemporary issues to their students and the surrounding communities. On April 23rd, UVM will take another step in delivering on this promise by opening the Public Opinion Center (Centro de Opinión Pública). The new Center will help concentrate and support ongoing research taking place throughout the university and promote conversation and thought regarding pressing contemporary issues. The opening of the Center coincides with the release of its first study on Mexico’s 2012 electoral process, which will culminate in the elections in July. Future reports will focus on Sport Management in Mexico (with focus on the 2012 Olympics) and the use of new technologies by Mexico’s youth.
