Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (Unitec) became the first university in Honduras to launch online degree programs in Business and Project Management. The launch of these new online programs was attended by Gino Natalicchio, Executive Director of Laureate International Online, who delivered a lecture focused on the online model of teaching and learning.
According to Marlon Brevé, the dean of Unitec's Graduate School, "This new academic offering provided by the University for professionals from different fields of knowledge will diversify and modernize higher education in Honduras, enabling students to leverage technology to learn without a classroom."
Similarly, Fredes Vazquez, director of Unitec's virtual university, said that "the programs are aimed at professionals seeking to integrate prior knowledge in their own disciplines with analytical and strategic management skills, as well as learning how to better leverage technology to support management and leadership."
The ceremony concluded by publicizing the contents of both master programs, whose development was undertaken by a group of international experts sharing their knowledge and experiences to enrich the subject matter of the online programs.
