The United Nations, as part of the celebration of World Day for Human Rights, convened the First Contest for Singer Songwriters and Posters for Human Rights, organized by the United Nations organizations based in Ecuador.

The challenge was brought to the School of Industrial and Graphic Design at Universidad de Las Américas UDLA. Students from a class in Digital Imaging Photoshop created a variety of different proposals.

As the result of this challenge, students Sofia Vinueza, Christian Poveda and Vanessa Proaño were recognized with second place. Isaac Salazar Carrión and Lenin Ortiz Haro, students from the Digital Animation program won third place. In these projects the students "put into practice what they have learned so far in their programs," said teacher Sofia Bustos.
