UDLA Ecuador recognized by the Vice President of Ecuador

2nd year in a row that UDLA has been recognized

On Wednesday, February 22 the General Ecuadorian Foundation (Fundación General Ecuatoriana) together with the Vice President of Ecuador recognized 25 companies for their leadership in creating employment opportunities for the disabled. Universidad de Las Américas Ecuador was the only university included in this group. This is the second year in a row that Universidad de Las Américas has earned this recognition.

Dr. Carlos Larreategui, Rector of Universidad de Las Américas, was recognized by the Vice President of Ecuador, Dr. Lenin Moreno, in a ceremony held at the Hotel Hilton Colón.

UDLA Ecuador, through its leadership and strategic planning processes has implemented innovative tools and resources that have provided the organization with a competitive advantage to help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, which includes a infrastructure, designed to maximize accessibility for teachers, students and the general public in compliance with safety and occupational health.

In order to encourage the development of their employees, with and without disabilities, UDLA Ecuador has also developed a wide variety of opportunities for personal and professional growth, allowing each member of the organization to assess their skills sets, further develop their strengths and focus on their weaknesses.
