UDLA Ecuador hosts Ecuador's first Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum in Quito

1st Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum

For the very first time the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum is being held in Ecuador. Organized by Startups&Ventures and Quito's Chamber of Commerce, this forum is taking place at Universidad de Las Américas from August 30th through September 2nd, 2011. This Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum is part of a series of ten junior forums that are being organized around the world in 2011.

The Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum is composed of workshops, networking sessions and conferences that are organized around four key themes: Innovation and Technology, Entrepreneurial Cities, Entrepreneurial Education, and Promotion of Entrepreneurship. The ultimate objective of this forum is to highlight the best practices, recommendations, conclusions, ideas, and successful Ecuadorian examples in one document, a White Paper, which will be presented at the fourth annual World Entrepreneurship Forum in Singapore (November 2-5, 2011).

The forum will be attended by more than 250 outstanding leaders and entrepreneurs who will participate in workshops and discussions and help formulate the conclusions which will be gathered in the White Paper. The mission and values of the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum in Ecuador is to:

  1. Generate a network of young entrepreneurs, the next generation of Ecuador's business leaders.
  2. Create an environment where companies and speakers can share their successful experiences, as well as their failures, with the next generation of entrepreneurs.
  3. Increase opportunities for Ecuador's young population.
  4. Present Ecuador's best practices to the world using the white paper and therefore contribute to development of society as a whole.
