SINAES recognizes Universidad Latina de Costa Rica



On September 23, the National Accreditation System for Higher Education of Costa Rica (Sistema Nacional de Acreditación de la Educación Superior – SINAES) paid tribute to Universidad Latina for its active and permanent commitment to the continuous improvement of the quality of higher education in Costa Rica.

The recognition took place on the 23rd at the National Gallery of the Costa Rican Center of Science and Culture (Museo de los Niños), during the Annual SINEAS Conference.

The President of the National Council of Accreditation, Guillermo Vargas Salazar, recognized the efforts that all the Costa Rican universities that belong to SINAES have undertaken and then paid special tribute to Universidad Latina. "Accreditation is a joint and permanent process to construct, to fortify and to consolidate a culture of evaluation and quality that will support the continued growth and development of the Costa Rican system of higher education".

Dra. Lemaitre, Vice-president of the International Network of Higher Education Quality Assurance Agencies (Red Internacional de Agencias de Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior - INQAAHE), presented SINAES with a Certificate that recognizes it as one of four agencies around the world which, after being put under more than eighteen months of rigorous evaluation of all the aspects of its operation, demonstrated that it fulfills the requirements and world-wide quality parameters. The Vice-president of INQAAHE, is considered one of the world’s most recognized experts in the subject of Higher Education evaluation and accreditation and who organized the 2010 Annual Conference "Securing Quality: Rite or commitment?"
