In recognition of superior academic performance, ten students from the Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, and Multimedia Studies programs from Universidad de Las Américas Chile received the Laureate International Scholarship for Academic Excellence and traveled to the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in Brazil, where they completed an international workshop.
The group of students, led by the director of the School of Journalism, Isabel Tolosa, worked on developing the knowledge related to creativity, sustainability, innovative thinking and ethics, providing a solid platform in the vision of new media trends and business.
To Karen Vera, a journalism student, the trip "was very rewarding, especially because classes were in Portuguese and delivered by Brazilian teachers who were very open, showing a different approach, through which they project a way of seeing life with more creativity and positivity."
The trip was coordinated by the Director of UDLA’s International Relations Department, Juan Enrique Arrau, and also included visits to museums and cultural attractions in the city.
