UDLA students Danae Sánchez, Joaquín Vidal and Giannina Marfull were recognized by Santander Universidades with a scholarship that provides each student with the opportunity to study abroad for a semester. Danae, a student in UDLA's Education program, will study at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in Brazil, Joaquín a student in UDLA's Physical Education program will study at Universidad Europea de Madrid in Spain and Giannina, a student in UDLA's Biology and Sciences Education program, will study at Universidad Latina in Costa Rica.
The International Mobility Scholarship from Santander Universidades Chile is focused on helping support students by providing them with opportunities to spend part of the final years of their academic program outside of Chile. The award ceremony took place at Casa Piedra with the presence of Cristián Lopicich, Director of Santander Universidades, who highlighted the need to increase opportunities for future professionals to travel and study outside of their home country.
The scholarship provides financial support to cover travel, housing costs, tuition costs, academic supplies and medical insurance for a maximum of two semesters. The program is only open to students that are enrolled in programs that are approved by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación (CNA).
