Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS) was recognized as the best private university in the North and Northeast of Brazil, according to the General Course Index (GCI), which was released by Ministry of Education. The GCI is an indicator that considers factors such as institutional results on the National Examination of Student Performance (Enade), the quality of faculty, the facilities and infrastructure, teaching resources, offering of stricto sensu graduate programs and the number of faculty with master and doctoral degrees.
Over the past three years, UNIFACS was ranked best private university of Bahia and was in second place in the North / Northeast. "Reaching the rank of best private university in the North and Northeast of Brazil recognizes the academic quality that results from the dedication and commitment of our entire team of managers, scholars, teachers and students who are developing and deploying serious programs and projects that are all committed to promoting the highest quality education," said Professor Marcia Barros, Rector of UNIFACS.
According to Professor Barros, the institutional mission of UNIFACS has a key role in focusing attention on academic quality. "Our focus on contributing to the development of the region and the country makes us go beyond technical training, it makes us look at education more broadly and see its permanent connections with the developmental needs of our country," she concluded.
