UNIFACS students win advertising contest

Three students from the Advertising program at Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS) won the first three places in the 19th edition of the Outdoor Advertising Contest, Bahia. The theme of the contest was ‘What is yours on the planet?’ Six UNIFACS students were among the 10 semifinalists.

First place was won by Analu Ribeiro, second place was earned by Luana Ferreira and third place went to Oscar Smith. "This is a very important award in our field and this result, I believe, reflects the quality that our faculty brings to training professionals in this field who are competitive and winners. I am very proud of each of them and also of my colleagues, who helped to make this a reality," said the course coordinator, Professor Carina Flexor.

Analu Ribeiro will now go on to complete at the national level later in November and specifically cited the encouragement received from Renata Kalid, the copywriting professor, "When a student enters the university, they don’t know the size of our potential. UNIFACS focuses on maximizing our training, "said the student, who is keen to highlight the contribution of the group in his victory, "This is the result of work we did together and shows what a well structured team can do," he said, highlighting the role his partner Lorena Monteiro played in creating the winning piece.

The national phase of the competition will take place in São Paulo. In 2011, UNIFACS student Bianca Issler won the competition.
