Professor Patricia Gallo, a professor in the School of Communication and Arts at Universidade Potiguar and Coordinator of Editorial UnP, won 2nd place in the Educational applications category with her project "Literacy Learning Objects" and 3rd place in the overall ranking among the top 10 projects in the Digital Arts and Educational Applications Award. The awards were delivered during the 4th Symposium on Hypertext and Education Technology. The award aims to encourage the production of applications and digital artwork related to education. The award has two thematic categories: Educational Applications (software) and Educational Digital Art. The top five awards in each category are recognized.
Professor Gallo’s project aims to support the literacy process of school age children. The project is free to access and is available at http://www.saberinterativo.com.br.
