UnP hosts Fifth Public Management Week

On September 27th and 28th, Universidade Potiguar (UnP) hosted its Fifth Public Management Week, an event that brings together students and professionals to discuss the key issues of the 21st century. This year the theme was “Public Management and the Global Electoral Scenario," which was explored through lectures and discussions with renowned experts in this field.

The program and agenda is designed for students, officials and members of the public that are involved in Public Administration, Law, Social Work, International Relations, and Business Management. The opening ceremony took place at the Floriano Peixoto campus and other activities took place in the Roberto Freire campus. The opening lecture of the event was delivered by Professor Sandy Maisel from the US and was titled "The parallels between American and Brazilian politics".

Professor Maisel is a leading expert on North American politics and has worked as s consultant to the U.S. Congress and renowned higher education institutions, like Harvard and Stanford. He has published more than 20 books and countless journals articles. Maisel is a Professor in the Department of Government at Colby College (USA) and Fulbright Distinguished Chair in American Studies, PUC--Rio de Janeiro, 2012.
