The FMU Education Group recently inaugurated their new global office, a space focused on helping students learn more about how they can participate in the international experience offered at the universities.
Vivian Higashi, general director of the office, highlighted the primary goals of the new space. "The Global Office is here to focus on students. Each of the services the university offers to our students, like resume development, networking, and finding an internship, are focused on providing our students with the assets they need to be successful. As a member of the Laureate network, we are adding internationality to this list of skills," she continued.
The inauguration was attended by leaders from throughout the institution. José Roberto Loureiro, chief executive officer of Laureate Brazil, recognized the importance of employability for students in the network. "Universities have a mission to develop students to be employable in the least amount of time possible."
Marcelo Cardoso, chief executive officer of the FMU Education Group, led the effort to create the new space. "The inauguration of the office is fundamental for our students because it is going to be one more thing the university can provide to them to help them differentiate themselves in the workforce," he said.
FMU Rector Dr. Arthur Roquete de Macedo also emphasized the importance of the new office. "The Global Office is one of the most important things we have done in the last two years, not just to promote graduate employability, but to support the development of our students and future graduates, giving them a more global vision," he added.
