Project Dr. Laughter, an initiative organized with the direct support of the nursing program at Centro Universitário do Norte (UniNorte), is promoting the Easter Chocolate Celebration, which will raise funds and donations to collect and distribute Easter eggs for hospitalized children in Hemoam, Fada and Abrigo Infantil Monte Salém.
According to the project coordinator, Professor Fabiola Ramos, the activity is a way to bring the happiness of Easter to those young children who are in hospitals. Through the project, UniNorte students and faculty will collect donations and chocolate eggs through Thursday, April 11, 2014.
Students will also participate in the delivery of the donations and help to organize activities for hospitalized children. "We ask students and members of the community to participate with donations and support. Our goal is to brighten the lives of more than 400 children," said Professor Ramos.
