The Marketing degree program at Centro Universitário do Norte (UniNorte) achieved a score of 4 in the ongoing assessment of academic degree programs conducted by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC). The note is the second best possible in the evaluation conducted by the federal agency.
The Director of the School of Humanities, Professor Gerard Harb, believes the strong outcome in the evaluation was the result of several factors. "We are the only bachelor degree in Marketing in the region and our students, faculty and staff are committed to teaching, research and extension programs," he says.
According to the coordinator of the program, Professor Helen de Souza Oliveira, the evaluators praised the infrastructure, the strong relationships and the commitment of the faculty in addition to the strong performance of students and employees. "The course was launched in 2008 so the first class of graduates has completed the program and are now making a difference in the companies where they are working," she said.
