Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School received the Tourism Education & Training award at the prestigious National 2009 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, held Feb. 26, 2010, in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The event was hosted by the National Tourism Alliance to recognize finalists from across all of Australia’s states and territories.
Since its founding in 1991, Blue Mountains Hotel School has combined theoretical study with hands-on, skill-based training in a simulated hotel on campus as well as a strong career development program. It is the first private educator in Australia recognized by the World Tourism Organization's international education audit system. The school also connects high-achieving final-year students with well-known hotel chains for corporate management traineeships and management positions on graduation.
