The University of Liverpool Management School Earns AACSB Accreditation

All programs bear the hallmark of excellence for business education

The University of Liverpool Management School Earns AACSB Accreditation

The University of Liverpool Management School has earned accreditation from AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), one of the world’s leading business school accreditation organizations.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education and represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. It has been earned by less than 5% of the world’s business programs. The accreditation is for the University of Liverpool Management School and covers all the programs offered within the School, including all those delivered online in partnership with Laureate Online Education.

The requirements for AACSB Accreditation are extremely stringent and schools must pass very rigorous quality standards. This detailed review and evaluation can take several years to complete. During these years the school develops and implements a plan to meet the AACSB Accreditation Standards, which require a high quality teaching environment, a commitment to continuous improvement and curricula responsive to the needs of business. All accredited schools must go through a peer review process every five years in order to maintain their accreditation.

John Fernandes, President and CEO of AACSB International said: “AACSB congratulates the University of Liverpool on earning accreditation, and we welcome them into the family of AACSB-accredited- business schools. AACSB Accreditation represents the highest achievement for an educational institution that awards business degrees. Director Dalziel and the faculty, directors, and staff of the University of Liverpool are to be commended for their role in earning accreditation.”

Professor Murray Dalziel, Director of the University’s Management School, said: “AACSB Accreditation places the Management School among the world’s best. A global leader in management and leadership training, education and research, the School is a place where students, academics and organizations come together to develop and share advanced management practice. We enable our students to become more than good managers and great leaders. Our programs equip them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to make a significant contribution in their roles and, in the long-term, to play a part in solving some of the most endemic problems faced by individuals, companies and communities. We produce graduates of outstanding potential who are able to operate in the most demanding of global business environments and are truly committed to making a difference.”

Craig Marsh, Chief Academic Officer for UK Institutions, Laureate Online Education, said: "The achievement of AACSB Accreditation places our Management programs into a very small category of the highest quality Masters and Doctoral programs in the world. Furthermore, the review panel especially commended the partnership on the strength of its online programs. The five years' work that it has taken to achieve AACSB is a resounding endorsement of the high standards achieved by the Management School, by our online faculty, and by all our support staff in Amsterdam, Baltimore and Gdansk."
