Víctor Arribas and Fran Coronas, students in the advertising program at Universidad Europea (UE), won first prize for their spot, “I Am a Movie Advertisement,” in the third edition of the Cinespot Advertising Competition organized by Discine, Movierecord and El Periódico de la Publicidad.
This competition required students to create advertising spots longer than one minute in length that incorporated cinematic qualities. Arribas and Coronas used humor and irony to create a spot that could be promoted in movie cinemas.
Through Pitching Minds, the creative laboratory at UE, students have the opportunity to present their best work at national and international festivals and competitions. This was the fourth time a student team from UE won a major competition. Arribas and Coronas also won Smile Jóvenes Talentos, and Andrea Hernando and Jessika de Freites won the same competition. Sabela Vilar and Katherine Echegaray won a Chupete Joven competition.
The strong outcomes of students in the program are a reflection of the university’s focus on creating quality programs that help students develop the skills they will need to be successful professionals.
