President of Vodaphone Spain Visits Universidad Europea de Madrid

Universidad Europea de Madrid hosted the fourth international Droidcon Conference at their Alcobendas campus this week. The annual event brings together experts from the world’s leading technology companies like Google, Microsoft and Epson to hold workshops and demo the latest technology trends and products. This year, the conference featured presentations from Google and SoundCloud experts on cybersecurity, open source software, and software engineering.

Francisco Román, president of Vodafone Spain, participated in the opening of the conference with a talk about recent trends in technology and his short-term predictions for the industry. Román remarked that, “We are close to reaching a point where artificial intelligence will exceed human intelligence. When we reach that point, we will be in a different world, one that we don’t really know much about.”

Román went on to say that young people, and entrepreneurs specifically, will reap tremendous benefits, and stressed the need in the business world for talented employees with an entrepreneurial mindset.
