Isabel Serrano, an economics student at Universidad Europea’s school of social sciences, was part of a team of students that won the 2014 Deloitte Financial Challenge.
The competition, created and hosted by Deloitte, is focused on a series of financial exercises that have to be solved by student teams through the application of analytical skills and knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).
For more than 60 hours, split into five meetings every other week, students worked with student peers and professors from a number of different universities as well as Deloitte employees to respond to the questions they were provided.
Students were selected from universities throughout Spain to participate in the competition and the winners participate in the international firm’s renowned internship program.
