The first call for proposals for Spanish entrepreneurs is underway at HUB Emprende, a business incubator, at Universidad Europea’s new campus in Alcobendas. All Spanish entrepreneurs can apply by Nov. 2 to help bring their ideas to life. Ten selected projects will win space in the incubator program for five months, during which they will receive mentoring and development as well as the opportunity to share their creations with Spanish investors and entrepreneurs.
This first call for proposals is open to projects from all disciplines. The resulting companies can be organized as for-profit or non-profit and can be focused on regional, national or international initiatives. Projects can be at any stage in the development life cycle. There is no cost to apply, but applicants need to be residents of Spain and cannot be minors. Projects will be selected based on their creativity, innovation, potential economic and social impact and potential for international replication.
The top twenty projects from the first round will be presented on Nov. 25. The same day, ten winners will be announced, and will begin their work at HUB Emprende on Nov. 27. For five months the leaders of these projects will benefit from mentoring and development provided by leading national and international entrepreneurs.
Each project will close by developing an action plan to support the idea’s continued rollout and success. Leaders at the HUB Emprende incubator will host a demonstration day, where the ten winning projects will share their ideas with investment and entrepreneurship communities in Spain. All interested entrepreneurs can submit to present their project at: http://hubemprende.universidadeuropea.es/impulsa-tu-proyecto
