Universidad Europea Student Competes with Professional Ferrari Drivers

Santander Universities Motorhome is a traveling global tournament organized by the Santander Universities Global Division. The tournament puts university students in a Formula 1 simulator to compete against professional Formula 1 drivers. More than 6,200 students from 15 universities in Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland competed in the tournament this year.

The finals were held in Grupo Santander City, in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) and included five students: Javier Rodriguez from Universidad Europea; Carlos Roldan, from Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio of Madrid; Eleftherios Michalatos, from City University London; Francisco Sepulcre, from Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU de Valencia; and Alejandro Rodríguez, winner of the “Night of Sports” competition in Madrid.

The finalists pitted their driving skills against those of professional Ferrari drivers, Fernando Alonso and Pedro de la Rosa. Javier finished third on the podium, while Carlos Roldan achieved the best time, winning a visit to the Maranello Ferrari Academy in Italy.
