The Real Madrid University School at Universidad Europea has signed an agreement with the University College of Football Business (UCFB), one of the most important higher education institutions focused on the football industry in the world. They are located on the site of the emblematic Wembley Stadium in London.
This alliance will allow students from UCFB to complete part of their program at the Real Madrid University School starting in September 2016. Students will have the opportunity to complete an internship of up to six months at the school’s facilities, which are located at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and the club’s Sport City in Valdebebas.
Brendan Flood, founder and president of the UCFB stated that this ambitious agreement “brings together the very best.” The CEO and rector of the university, Philip Wilson, stated that the sports industry “needs professionals that have global knowledge of business and a specialized degree. We think that this agreement will give our students a unique international opportunity.”
Emilio Butragueño, general director of the Real Madrid University School, shared his strong enthusiasm for the agreement, “which brings together excellence and sports and will develop leaders with the skills and experience that is needed to bring international level success to this field of activity. To have the opportunity to benefit from these two tremendous organizations will help students reach their full potential.”
