An Interaction Designer considers and conceptualizes the many methods of communication which exist between a person and a computer – a relationship which is no longer possible to exclude from everyday life. An Interaction Designer creates both the emotional, physical and intellectual interface which enable both a person and a computer to interact with each other.
The Bachelor of Arts in Interaction Design is delivered at btk's Berlin campus.
This relatively young profession has evolved out of necessity, to work with and shape the ever-increasing influence of computer technology on our professional and personal life with a "human face" to simplify the use of increasingly complex systems and the various possibilities that new media generate for their users.
Interaction Design at btk - like all our programs - first focuses on the creative and artistic activity. More important than the mastery of codes or cables is the joy of conceptual thinking, experimenting with different media and in developing a fundamental understanding of the tremendous potential of this important discipline. Students develop the necessary technical toolset to turn ideas into executable prototypes through concrete tasks and exciting projects.
An interaction designer is often a generalist who can deal with a variety of different audio-visual and design mediums.
