BiTS hosts the 7th Rubicon International Contest for Business Students

The Rubicon Contest is an international Case Competition for Business students. Students from all over the world come together in order to match wits with each other by solving case studies while exploring future topics. During three exciting days, approximately 100 students will be competing at the campus of the Business and Information Technology School in Iserlohn, Germany.

Rubicon will take place from February 25 – 28, 2013. This is the seventh time BiTS students have hosted this international competition. All case studies that are part of the competition deal with various economic problems and are developed in close cooperation with well-known companies. The case studies are testing the expertise, analytical skills and innovative thinking as well as the creativity of each of the participants. The results are peer-reviewed on the basis of objective criteria in order to finally determine the winner team of Rubicon Contest.

Rubicon is more than just a competition. The Rubicon Contest supports intercultural exchange and enables both students and companies to have an open dialogue and discuss future topics. All participants get the opportunity to expand their international business network and beyond that to build friendships. The competition is completely organized by students for students. Rubicon contest is open for undergraduate and graduate students and offers a great opportunity for students to explore Germany and gain intercultural experience.

The topic of this year’s competition is “Smart Technologies”. The fee is 150 Euro per person, which includes transportation in Germany, accommodation, catering, gala dinner, entertainment and shuttle service during the whole contest.
