Stamford International University hosts 2013 Public Speaking Competition

The Public Speaking Competition (PSC) 2013 is the first event of its kind to be hosted by Stamford International University (STIU) in Bangkok, Thailand. The event is scheduled for May 27-29, 2013. This event, which is an internal Laureate International Universities contest, aims to bring the network of Laureate students together and develop global leaders. By building skills and confidence in communication, Laureate & the PSC will give participants the opportunity to realize their potential. The organizers of the PSC hope that all participants will gain important tools needed for their future careers, form life-long friendships, and leave with a memorable experience of their time at the PSC.

The central theme for speeches in the competition is: Is education key to the end of trafficking? Speakers can interpret the theme and deliver their speech in their preferred style. They are encouraged to present compelling ideas about the theme. Speeches must not be political or offensive, but should focus on initiating change.

All applications must be sent in by April 30, 2013. For more information, please visit www.stamford.edu or email the event organizers at psc@stamford.edu
