A student at Media Design School has taken top honours in the global Frontier Loop competition and won an all expenses paid trip to Santa Fe.

Sam Knight, who is currently studying Visual Effects, was crowned the winner by an international panel of judges.

The competition brief was to create a video loop exploring the theme ‘an ending can be a beginning – a beginning can be an ending’. The first and last frame of the video had to be the same.

The entrants also had to have a profile on Frontier with at least three portfolio pieces displayed.

Sam’s prize package, which was sponsored by Santa Fe University of Art and Design, includes a trip to Santa Fe (USA) where he will spend three weeks and be a part of the ArtFest12 event.  He also wins a 3M MPRO 180 pocket-projector.

The 20 best submissions will also be projected on the Santa Fe University of Art and Design campus during the Outdoor Vision Fest event on April 27.
