Baltimore, Maryland—May 29, 2013—
Laureate International Universities is broadcasting the prestigious World Innovation Forum 2013, from the Poliforum León in Guanajuato, Mexico, on May 29 and 30, to 33 Laureate member institutions in 18 countries. This is the second time Laureate has broadcast the World Innovation Forum to its network. More than 35,000 students and faculty from member institutions are expected to participate in the broadcast of this two-day event. Additionally, 52 students and faculty members from the Laureate network are on-site at the forum. The live broadcast of the World Innovation Forum is made possible through a partnership with HSM, which created the World Business Forum and organizes many other leading international events.
“We are pleased that students enrolled at Laureate member institutions, along with top business and intellectual pioneers in the field of innovation, will participate in the World Innovation Forum,” said Paula Singer, president and CEO of Laureate Global Products and Services. “Bringing exclusive access to this type of thought-provoking international event gives all our students a unique experience and advantage as they complete their education and advance their careers.”
The forum will be broadcast in both Spanish and English throughout the network. Speakers attending this year’s event include Clayton Christensen, best-selling author and professor at the Harvard Business School; Daniel Pink, author and journalist; Pau Garcia-Milá, entrepreneur and co-founder of eyeOS; and Chris Anderson, former editor-in-chief of WIRED magazine, among many others.
A panel of leaders from Laureate institutions is hosting this exclusive broadcast, introducing and discussing the topics raised by the speakers, as well as conducting interviews with business and industry leaders at the forum.
