Kendall Wins Culinary Academy Award


Baltimore, March 31, 2009 - The School of Culinary Arts at Kendall College has won the Academy of the Culinary Arts Cordon d' Or - Gold Ribbon Cooking School of the Year Culinary Academy Award for 2008. Kendall College is a member of the Laureate International Universities network.

The Cordon d' Or - Gold Ribbon is awarded annually, and recognizes exemplary worldwide contributions to the culinary arts. Winners are selected by members of the Culinary Academy Awards, which includes leaders of the culinary industry as well as past award honorees.

"This is a tremendous and well deserved honor for the faculty, staff, students and alumni of Kendall College," said Douglas L. Becker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Laureate Education. "The Cordon d' Or is an exceptional award, and it has gone to a most exceptional culinary arts program."

Founded in 1985, the School of Culinary Arts at Kendall College is among the premier culinary-training programs in the United States, offering associate and bachelor's degrees and certificates in culinary arts as well as associate degrees and certificates in baking and pastry.
