In his role at Laureate, Mr. Latham will focus on international business development, particularly in the United Kingdom, and will leverage the company's expertise in online education around the world.
"John is widely recognized as an expert in expanding access to quality higher education," said Douglas L. Becker, chief executive officer of Laureate Education. "He has deep expertise in forging global relationships with leaders in education. We look to him to apply these skills in helping us continue our international growth in the United Kingdom as well as throughout our global network."

Recently, he was appointed a member of the Order of Australia by the Australian government in recognition for his contributions to education in Asia.
In his new role, Dr. Mann will expand Laureate Education Asia Ltd.'s activities throughout the Asia Pacific region
"Few people are more familiar with the range of opportunities and challenges we face as we expand our presence throughout the Asia Pacific region," said Mr. Becker. "Michael has made extraordinary contributions to education throughout Asia over the past decade. We will be well served by his leadership, his deep knowledge of the region, and his commitment to higher education."
