Baltimore, Maryland, July 11, 2008 -- Laureate Education, Inc. today named Amit Rai Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Rai takes over for Gary Wojtaszek, who had served as Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Wojtaszek is leaving Laureate to serve as Chief Financial Officer at Cincinnati Bell.
Mr. Rai will report directly to Rosemarie Mecca, Chief Financial Officer of Laureate Education, Inc. Ms. Mecca will lead the Company's Treasury operations until a replacement is found.

"Amit has done an excellent job of leading the company through the very complicated purchase accounting associated with the leveraged buyout transaction that was completed last year and became a critical member of our financial operations team. Mr. Rai joined Laureate Education in 2007, and previously served as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Delco Remy, a global automotive components manufacturer and a SEC registrant.
