A Network Comes Together to Serve

Every year during the month of October, Laureate’s Global Days of Service provide an opportunity for students, faculty and staff at institutions and offices all over the world to come together to express their commitment to their local communities and to celebrate the impact of our organization.

Laureate’s network came together in October 2016 to record the largest Global Days of Service effort ever, with more than 22,500 volunteers contributing over 220,000 hours during the month. The work spanned 16 countries, 36 Laureate institutions or offices and included more than 220 service efforts. From planting new trees in deforested areas in rural Honduras to designing and building new community spaces in Italy to providing vital health education courses in Brazil, it was a truly international and multidisciplinary act of service to local communities.
