2017: A Banner Year for Accreditation of Laureate Institutions

Accreditation and quality assurance in higher education are the gold standard for demonstrating quality. Laureate institutions worldwide are committed to achieving the highest levels of national and international accreditation. In 2017, Walden University* (USA), AIEP* (Chile), and UNAB* (Chile) successfully underwent reaffirmation of their institutional accreditation.
This success is a significant achievement for these institutions and the network, as academic excellence and student achievement continues to be at the center of institutional agendas. Accreditation reviews provide an opportunity to self-review and demonstrate to peer reviewers and the public how institutions meet an accrediting agency’s or organization’s set of standards and criteria. Institutions must provide relevant documentation to demonstrate academic quality, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement to better serve their students.
We congratulate these three institutions for their accomplishments and encourage the institutions that are preparing for accreditation visits and reviews this year to continue their work for a successful 2018!
