Background
The Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM) opened its doors to students
in 1989. Fully accredited and recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education,
UEM has
more than 7,500 undergraduate and graduate students, including more than 300
international students enrolled in UEM’s study abroad programs.
UEM is the
first University to receive the “Qualicert Service Certification” and “Madrid
Excelente” award in recognition of the quality of its management, academic
programs and facilities.
The UEM campus enjoys a reputation as one of the most
modern of its kind in Western
Europe. It became Europe’s first wireless campus in 2001 and offers a wide
variety of facilities, including:
- Multiple laboratories devoted to research
- A multimedia language center
- Modern and spacious on-campus housing for
more than 500 students
- A state-of-the-art sports complex with a top of the line fitness center
and swimming pool
