Offering students undergraduate degrees in business, baking and pastry, culinary arts, education and hospitality management, Kendall’s curriculum requires a combination of hands-on, practical learning and rigorous academic coursework.
Kendall College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The School of Culinary Arts has been distinguished as an Exemplary Program by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC). The ACFEFAC has accredited the culinary arts associate degree program since 1988 and the baking and pastry associate degree program since 2008. The early childhood education program is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education for Illinois Teacher Licensure preparation (birth through Grade 3).

Most notably, the School of Culinary Arts has been named an Exemplary Program by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC). In addition, Kendall College received the first Green Award earned by any culinary arts program globally by the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) in 2007.
Kendall was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the most ethnically diverse liberal arts college in the Midwest in the 2013 Edition of Best Colleges.

Kendall College is committed to advancing social impact programs for faculty, staff, students, and the communities in which we work. The culinary arts program at Kendall has long been a leader in sustainability, both implementing internal programs to promote a green environment in which students can learn, and also by supporting external programs that help to advance this work among high schools and community colleges.
In 2012 Kendall College established its own community impact program, Kendall Cares, to engage students, faculty, staff and families in giving back to the Chicago community by providing opportunities to volunteer and develop surrounding neighborhoods. With quarterly and annual events, Kendall Cares has partnered with many organizations, including the American Red Cross, the United Way, elementary schools, animal shelters and military organizations.
