Founded in 1960, Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) is one of Mexico’s top 10 universities. With more than 120,000 students, UVM also is Mexico’s largest private university. UVM offers high school, undergraduate degree (traditional and working adult) and graduate degree programs on 38 campuses throughout Mexico.

Academic areas at UVM include arts and humanities, economics, business administration, engineering, health sciences and social sciences. Students earn degrees and certificates in high school, undergraduate (traditional and working adult) and graduate programs.

Of special note are UVM’s seven medical schools and its executive undergraduate and master’s programs for working adults. UVM students can enroll in dual-degree programs with other Laureate International Universities network institutions, including École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur (France), Glion Institute of Higher Education (Switzerland), Universidad Europea de Madrid (Spain) and Walden University (United States).

UVM has earned accreditation from the Secretary of Public Education, Federation of Mexican Private Institutions of Higher Education, National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education, and the Council for Accreditation of Higher Education.

Social responsibility is embedded in the culture of the UVM community and is exemplified by the José Ortega Romero Foundation, the Institutional Center for Values, and the YouthActionNet® Premio UVM por el Desarrollo Social/UVM Award for Social Development for social entrepreneurs in partnership with the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation and the International Youth Foundation. Citizens across Mexico benefit directly from UVM’s health, psychology, special-education, legal and economic services.
