UNAB new logoEstablished in 1989, Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) is a leading private university in Chile. Having received several grants for the World Bank-sponsored Millennium research institute, UNAB is known for its academic rigor and research excellence. More than 42,000 students are enrolled through five campuses located in Santiago, Viña del Mar, and Concepción. UNAB is accredited by the Chilean National Commission for Accreditation, it was the first and only private university awarded accreditation in research. UNAB is a not-for-profit institution.

UNAB students earn undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture and Design, Business Administration, Communication, Ecology and Natural Resources, Education, Engineering and Information Technology, Health Sciences, Hospitality, Human Sciences, Law, and Maritime Studies. Of special note are UNAB’s accredited doctoral and health sciences programs, medical school, and Millennium Research Centers.

Universidad Andrés Bello is accredited through the Chilean National Commission for Accreditation. It is the first private university awarded accreditation in research.

UNAB social responsibility initiatives include the U.N.’s Global Compact Executive Office, Marine Biology Research Center, Center for Sustainability, as well as health, legal, dental and psychology clinics. UNAB also participates in the YouthActionNet® Acción Jóven / Reconocimiento UNAB program, in collaboration with the International Youth Foundation and the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation.

Rated as one of Chile’s top three private undergraduate and graduate institutions by Qué Pasa, UNAB is also ranked by the Institute for Scientific Information as the leading private university in Chile in the number of scientific publications by faculty.
