Founded in 1970, UAM currently serves more than 44,000 students. UAM has state-of-the-art laboratories, training centers and libraries on six campuses in São Paulo, Brazil. Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (UAM) delivers undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of academic disciplines, including:

  • Architecture, arts, design and fashion
  • Business administration
  • Communications

  • Engineering and information technology
  • Health sciences (including medicine)
  • Law
  • Tourism and hospitality management

UAM offers 150 undergraduate and graduate degree programs that provide foundation in high-growth disciplines encircling diverse career paths. Through the UAM semester abroad and vacation programs, LIU’s students, can obtain a single certificate of participation, as well as complete their undergraduate degrees in a reassuring learning environment.

The social entrepreneurs program from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (UAM) was launched in 2008 as a YouthActionNet® program to recognize young social entrepreneurs in the São Paulo metropolitan area, and in some years expanded to Southeast Region, and nowadays includes also South region.

In 2012, Universidade Potiguar (UNP) launched a similar program. In the last few years, Centro Universitário do Norte (UniNorte) and Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS) have also launched programs, becoming nationwide, involving all geographical Brazilian regions and founding the Prêmio Laureate Brasil.

Supported by the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation, Prêmio Laureate Brasil has provided more than 100 young Brazilian leaders with the following:

  • Public recognition at awards ceremonies;
  • Cash awards of $2,000;
  • Course to enhance leadership and management skills;
  • Travel expenses to the city where the Prêmio Laureate Brasil ceremony takes place;
  • Access to a global network of YouthActionNet® alumni.

Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (UAM) has received a number of awards and distinctions, including:

  • In 2016, UAM received three stars in the QS Stars international rankings, which evaluated the university’s quality of teaching, employability, social responsibility, inclusiveness, internationalization and distance learning.
  • In 2015, UAM earned 141 stars in the annual Student Guide, a leading national reference for Brazil’s higher education system.
  • In 2015, UAM was named the best private art and design school in Brazil according to Student Guide;
  • Also in 2015, UAM was named the best private business and administration school in Brazil according to Student Guide;
  • In 2012, UAM received the Beauty Capital’s Award, which recognizes the role of the institution in health, beauty and wellness education.
  • In 2010, UAM won the Santander Universities Award for the school’s new Health Sciences Simulation Center.
