Faculdade Internacional de Paraiba (FPB) was founded in 2005 as Faculdade Potiguar da Paraíba and joined the Laureate International Universities network in 2007. The institution adopted its new name in 2012 to reflect its international mission.
FPB delivers undergraduate and graduate degree programs to more than 6,000 students in a variety of disciplines at its campus in Joao Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil.

FPB's social services department runs Observatório de Violências, an office that documents statistics on cases of violence around the society.
FPB is a socially responsible institution and has the seal of the Associação Brasileira de Mantenedoras de Ensino Superior- ABMES (Brazilian Association of Maintainers of Higher Education). Through the Coordenação de Pesquisa e Extensão-CAPEX (Coordination for Research and Extension), the institution organizes activities that give back to the community, including free services for local citizens.
